Lisa Papademetriou wurde 1971 in Houston, Texas geboren. Nach dem Studium unterrichtete sie an einer Schule in Guatemala Englisch, bevor sie in New York für verschiedene Verlage arbeitete. Mittlerweile lebt sie als freischaffende Autorin mit ihrer Familie in Massachussetts und hat mehrere Jugendbücher veröffentlicht.
