Hinter Christina Lauren steht das Autorinnenduo Christina Hobbs und Lauren Billings. Beide sind bekennende Liebesroman-Fans und schreiben seit 2009 gemeinsam. Getrennt durch den US-Staat Nevada, telefonieren sie mehrmals täglich miteinander und sind sich einig, dass die allerschönste Nagellackfarbe Rubinrot ist.
